Conclusion

My name is Frederica Krebs. I am a 29-year-old free-lance journalist. I write about all things happening in Germany, and then sell them to newspapers and magazines all over the world. I am the only son of a World War 1 hero, and my mother who dollies me. I am divorced with one son who resides with his mother. I'm young, blonde, blue-eyed, strong, and pure German. I do not Like what these groups of thugs who call themselves â€Å"Nazis† are trying to do. I mean they are trying to blame the war on the Jews, communists, and the liberals. Saying how Hitler will bring the Germans back to their farmer greatness. My own father agrees with the Nazis, he is already eager to rid the country of foreigners and especially Jews. But he doesn't know that I have a Jewish girlfriend, named Anna. Also my wife is rais ing our son to become one of these criminals.He is only five and already belongs to some Nazi out organization. I will do whatever it takes to make sure that these people don't do anymore damage to our country. Second Entry February 27,1933 what they believe in but what he believes in. I on the other hand will not give in and choose not to take the oath and make a stand for what I believe in. I will try and contribute to working to defeat Hitler as much as I can. Third Entry May 10,1933 Today is the day of the book burning kids running around yelling like the burning of the books doesn't even bother them, they don't know how much books would help them because their young children doing what they th ought was right. The Nazis and police are knocking on people's doors and confiscating their books, I know a lot of people who don't agree with this but don't want to put the lives of their family in danger.Me being a Journalist I do not agree with this one bit not having books would hang how we think so we wont have our own opinions, we would all have the same thoughts because we are only allowed to read similar books. I will have to go to this book burning later this evening and I will have a decision to make whether I want to participate in this and throw a book into the fire or try and stop them from throwing the books, so as I have returned you know I have made the decision to Join in on the burning.A little boy came up to me and tried to put a book in my hand, as I refused a soldier walks up and stands right behind the boy staring at me and says, if you have rust in what Hitler is doing you will take the book and throw it in. I did not want to get arrested and loose the chance of spreading the word to the world about what's happening here so I took the book and tossed it. It was a very hard thing to do but I did it for the sake of my country. Fourth Entry August 1,1936 I am here in Berlin for the Olympic games to support my country of course. I walk into the stadium.There are so many people but not Just Germans other nationalities are here to cheer on their country. I feel as if everywhere like they were watching my every move. I also notice some American reporters were also there, maybe this is my chance to get out to the world about what was happening here. The people here would know nothing about what's going on here because Hitler had all the the people from other countries. I hope I could have a chance of speaking with one of the U. S reporter but its not going to be easy with all the AS officers around watching.If they see me attempting to talk to the reporters I will be arrested and punished maybe even killed. I have decided that trying to talk to the reporters would be too risky so I will not try and talk to them. Because if I get arrested I would leave my girlfriend who is Jewish alone and could possibly get taken away, and my father would find out that I was going against Hitler and he believes in what Hitler is doing. I wanted this meeting because if I could get a Job as a Journalist for the Nazi party, after I earn their trust I could easily get the word out to the world and the would never suspect it was me. At the dinner we discussed my believes to be on that Hitler is doing and what they expect of me as a Journalist.When I looked at Gobbles I would have never thought he would be in the Nazi party because he was a total opposit e of the perfect German that Hitler described. He was small, dark and crippled with a permanent limp. After I saw him I knew I could get the Job because I was the perfect German that Hitler described, and why would they turn down a reflect German. I would also be able to keep my girlfriend unharmed if I Join the Nazi party. At the end of the dinner he said he would like to offer me a Job to work with him as a Journalist, so I shook his hand and gladly accepted.Sixth Entry November 10,1938 It's all starting today what the newspapers called Charlatanic: the night of broken glass. I look outside and see all Jewish businesses being burned down, or severely damaged. Not only are their businesses being destroyed they are being pulled out from their homes a lot of the times dragged out and beaten. The Nazi mobs were Sioux towards them worse than eve seen before sometimes beating the Jews in the city by the hundreds. I have a choice to make, do I try and save my girlfriend and risk being ca ught or do I Just give her up to them and never see her again.I can't do that to her I need to find a place for her to hide a place they would never think to look here. The mob is almost to my house I have to think quickly or I will loose her to those monsters. I told her to go outback and under the stairs outside there's an opening because he was the one that put in the newspaper to do this so all he would do is urn me in. As I started to calm door I hear a knock at my door but there was no shouting I open it and before my eyes was a family, a Jewish family that had escaped and asked for my help.I had to think but think quickly cause the mob was only down the street, so I told them to go where I had told my girlfriend to o and wait till I came and got them. The mob was finally at my door they asked if I had any Jews in here I said no. The people barged in and started to raid my home they finally left after ten minutes of searching and found nothing, my home a mess but they found no thing. Seventh Entry November 1 2, 1938 I have moved away from my old home to try and get away from all the madness.I still have work so ill Just do the work from here I live near Auschwitz Brinkmen. Life here is good for me but little did I know when I moved out here that I moved near a camp. In the beginning, I thought ghettos were for Just the poor, now I know that the Germans were forcing the Jews to live there and then moving them to concentration camps. I can go for a walk and see this camp and see the people in it but I can't do anything to help them. I see the labor they have to do, they look all sluggish and beat, you can see the guards yelling and beating them when they stop working.I see groups of young kids, elders, and weak go into these buildings while being escorted by troops so they couldn't run, the guards close the door and the group would never come out. I knew what had happened to them but I never knew how it was happening. I know these types of things IM Just a writer. It is hard to watch this all happening wishing I could do something but risk being killed myself and loosing the trust of Gobbles. Eighth Entry November 4,1943 I have witnessed the massacre, now I have lost the little respect I had for the German soldiers, Hitler, and Hammier.Hammier doesn't care how many Jews die because of his success. Being a Journalist I had to be to there witnessing a side I had never seen before of these soldiers and leaders. I saw dead bodies on the ground lined up in rows like they were in an assembly line. But the worst was I actually seeing the killings, they had them line up and like a firing squad they shot them in the neck. Some of the people were even still alive after they were shot and they Just feet them there.But even if you turn around to try and look away there were more trucks full of more Jews waiting to be slaughtered. The sad thing was it wasn't Just clothes so they were killed naked. More and more trucks come and go, unloading then k illing the defenseless they were weak and hungry. This is one of the worst things I had ever seen. Disparity

Disparity is the state of being unequal or different in some respect. This brings to inequality being lack of equality and also the distance toward the rich and poor. Poverty is when having very little or no money and very few or no material possessions. As for development is the act of improvement meaning gaining, expanding, or enlarging. Inequality and poverty can cause a country not to develop well, unless you have a good strategy. In this case I will show you a developed country (Spain) and a under developed county (Chad). I will do this by explaining four disparities of the same for both countries. Those disparities are total population, unemployment rate, and condom use. The geographical location of Spain is in south Western Europe boarded by the Liberian peninsula and Mediterranean Sea. This does not influence the countries development because it can cause good trade with other countries which makes good business and a better economy. Their government is parliamentary monarchy and this doesn’t seem to affect their economy in any way due to the fact that the government leader is carried out by a cabinet and its chancellor who is part of legislature. Spain’s health care system seem to be running smoothly since they have a universal healthcare, which is open to everyone even tourists. As for their education system Spain is known as LOE meaning Ley Organcia De Educacion or fundamental law of education this is good for them and keeps their peoples standards highly well. Spain is a MEDC due to their seas of free trade and also tourists give them a better part of living and handling their surrounding well. Spain’s only problem would be their GDP because it has fallen and known to be as global recession this would only be there issue on improving their development. The geographical location of Chad is north central of Africa measuring at 1, 284,000 square kilometers. This seems to influence the countries development due to the fact that Chad isn’t very popular on trading and being the second largest lake in Africa. But more of the problem would be their government which is a republic voted by the people. In my opinion it seems the people do not know who to vote for anyway because of many problems they seem to be facing. One of their problems would be education, Chad does not have great educational skills and wont ever only because they need help from professionals in order to teach and make there country successful. Education might be one major fact of Chad being an LEDC, but the others would be resources and their health care system. Chad might be producing fast and more due to education not teaching them to be protected but also their health is a big problem because they do not have the great foods and proteins they need, which can cause as a result to death. In my opinion if Chad had help to start increasing their educational system then this could soon lead to actually having a good health care system and plan on having resources and good food, but one must begin to take charge soon. The first disparity I will be explaining is on the total population of Chad and Spain. Chad’s total population is 10,758,975, which seems to be high but in this case not so much due to the fact that Spain’s has a total population of 46,754,784. Chad might not have many people because of their way of living. Meaning they do not have the resources, supplies, and food they need. Every hour three people die from Chad due to one of these three economical developments that need to be improved in order for Chad to improve. As for Spain being at 46,754,784, gives them a better rate of living meaning they have good health care, resources, and food to survive with. The reason Spain is better then Chad is because they do not have the necessities that they need in order to survive. Secondly, the disparity would be unemployment rate, and this would be considered a big issue for Chad due to the fact that they do not have any unemployment rate record. The reason for this would be because it is already hard for people living in Chad to find a job and to not be unemployed means that there living status is as great either. As for Spain their unemployment rate would be 20%. So for this case they seem to be fine with the proper ages of working and those who are dependent of the workers. In my opinion to why Chad doesn’t have an unemployment rate is because in order to be unemployed you must have a job and in order to have a good job you must be educated, which Chad does not have. As for Spain though has the process of education, work, and unemployment with the cycles of ages meaning the dependents and workers. Third and final would be the use of condoms which is interesting due to Spain only using 37. 7% and Chad at 14. 3%. Spain was the most surprising because they are educated and don’t use condoms so much. While Chad is uneducated and of course hardly uses them they wouldn’t really seem notice the bad deal to it. In my opinion since Spain is more educated they should have had used the condoms and should consider them more since they know the consequences unlike Chad. In order for Chad to understand more they must make a well educational system and programs about staying protected or it can lead to diseases as well. My MEDC Spain needs to address the fact on developing a global partnership for development because they seem to have everything in order for them that they should help out others like LEDC Chad. They can do this by developing a program with many people and figure out a plan on how to bring Chad as a good country, starting with resources, medical supplies, education, ect. Now as for Chad there most important goal right now would be to achieve universal primary education because the only way to understand about condom used would be through there own basic knowledge. And to have basic knowledge you must at least some portion of knowledge within you. Chad can start to do this by making a program or at least finding some sort of help to start them off in developing into a MEDC. Spain in my opinion can help Chad by going down and making a program to start off their education needs and working skills in making a well developed country. With this it can also reduce their high record of HIV/AIDS and improve on using condoms as well into making a well balanced country. The millennium development goals have helped my LEDC Chad, but the won who started this improvement is Yokohama, Japan. Japan has helped with their economic growth rate, peace building, climate change and environmental concerns. Their theme is called â€Å"towards a vibrant Africa: A continent of hope and opportunity. † All that Japan is helping on is being broken down into a session which is a good idea to explain to all successfully in developing into a MEDC. I do think that millennium development goals are worth while because if Japan can make a difference with Chad then other MEDC’s can help other LEDC’s in becoming a well developed country. All it takes is one person to make a difference into making a new world. My final conclusions would be that Spain is well developed country that can help other LEDC’s into being a developed country. As for Chad I learned that they have many problems but all they need is help in starting to develop one step at a time like Japan is doing. This type of research is important to an IB learner because it shows us the struggles that people are having in life and to be considerate to those that need help and to explore more and learn about your basic countries information that could be interesting. Also maybe to get some ideas on actually helping out those LEDC’s into developing and living a good lifestyle that can give them food everyday and the resources they need. It is possible to reduce disparities in the world and it only takes one or a strong group of people to do it because those who make the differences strive and achieve more in life.

The first force that would come into play would be the Threat of substitutes', this is because if prices are lower at a competing golf manufacturing company, a person who really does not care about performance, but more so for just doing it as a hobby , would Therefore, I believe that Scalawags should target a wider costumer base instead of JUST the upper class performers.On the other hand, another force that would come into play would be Rivalry because Scalawags has a lot of intense competition. This means that they have to focus on the pressure they have on prices, meaning because they charge premium prices, they are leaving out the common person, who Just wants to play golf as a hobby or for fun. However, this could also be to their advantage because they specialize in tailoring to specific performers, which means that people will be more willing to pay the premium prices, over what Scalawags competitors would offer.Alternative 1 In my opinion I believe that the first thing Galloway could do in order to improve their service and minimize competition would be to completely re-create their marketed products. They could do this by having more advertisements with the ‘new and improved' products, which would provoke higher p erformance golfers to be more willing to buy. However, in a market, which is so intensely competitive, I believe that golfers in particular have a mentality of Just constantly needing to improve their ‘game'.Therefore I figured with more advertisements using the ‘above the line rumination' strategy, would target golfers who could potentially ‘afford' more. This is because Scalawags would be promoted in specialized magazines and on the television, which is more likely to attract higher-class performers. Alternative 2 I came to the decision that the second alternative was to help sponsor a highly recognizable and qualified golf player, which would aid in promoting their sales because people would automatically associate the product with the performer.Along with this, Galloway would be Just easily getting its name out there, because Tiger Woods for example, is an icon for professional golfers. Therefore, if Galloway chooses to sponsor Tiger, fans etc would want to Jus t buy the products because Tiger has them. Alternative 3 Finally, my third alternative for Scalawags would be to target a wider costumer base because right now they are Just promoting to higher performers, whereas if they they would be more likely to buy from Scalawags.However, Scalawags is perceived as being for ‘higher class' people, which means that not too many of ‘lower class' performers would want to purchase their products. Recommendations Overall, in my opinion I believe that Scalawags Golf should proceed with the third alternative first because catering to other people would be the easiest and less expensive way to improve service and also to gain a competitive advantage over their rivalry.Along with this, their sales should increase because more people will be willing to buy their product. However, people still may not even want to buy the product because they prefer substitutes. On the other hand, I perceived the second best thing to do would be the sponsor be cause it's a good marketing strategy. Therefore, by sponsoring a highly qualified ND recognized performer like Tiger Woods, people would be more open to your brand.Finally, the third and last thing I decided for Galloway is in order to improve its service and gain a competitive advantage they should re-create their image. This, however, would be the most expensive and time consuming because they would have to develop market research on what the other ‘lower class' performers would want. Along with this, the competition of much larger golf stores like Nikkei, who tailor to EVERYONE in golf, have already built that relationship with their customers that Galloway may be trying to target.

Beloved Character Analysis

Is Beloved the ghostly reincarnation of Sethe’s murdered baby, a flesh and blood version of the spirit Paul D. drives from the house? Or is Beloved unquestionably a ghost? The uniformly accepted notion that Beloved is a ghost is interesting, given that evidence throughout the book suggests that she is a reincarnated being. As the reader recalls, Sethe killed her first daughter with the idea that doing so would free her daughter from slavery. As a result of Sethe’s â€Å"motherly† actions, Beloved, enslaves the rest of the family including Sethe’s daughter, Denver. The family becomes disconnected from and outcasted by the black community, as everyone fears approaching the residency â€Å"haunted† by the supernatural. As the novel progresses, the presence of an unknown girl at 124 intrudes, yet again, on the lifestyle of Denver and Sethe. This character, who is identified as Beloved is ambiguously portrayed and therefore her analysis is the topic of debate and discussion. The character that is recognized at the 124 residency is in fact the reincarnation of Sethe’s first daughter, Beloved. The idea of the reincarnated in this novel is well established. Although, to the reader the possibility of this seems unlikely, in the book there are several examples that point to this being true. For example, the reader witnesses Sethe overlook obvious signs showing that this girl actually could be the personification of her murdered baby daughter. Additionally, Beloved is approximately the same age that Sethe’s first born would have been if still alive, and more evidence lies in the fact that she shares the same name as the one engraved on the baby’s tombstone. It happens that these trails of evidence all occur in order in the same scene. One evening Denver, Sethe, and Beloved are all gathered around a fire, and Sethe comes to a realization about the aforementioned evidence about Beloved. â€Å"The click had clicked; things were where they ought to be or poised and ready to glide in,† (Morrison 207). Beloved hums a tune, one that Sethe immediately recognizes. The scene seems surreal as Sethe is taken aback by the occurrence. â€Å"I made that song up. I made it up and sang it to my children. Nobody knows that song but me and my children,† (Morrison 207). Additionally, Beloved’s demeanor is that of a typical two year old. Her thoughts and actions mimic those of a young child rather than a young adult. For example, Beloved deeply loves her mother, Sethe, and is attached to her just as a young child would be. Not only does Beloved share a passionate love for her mother, but feelings are mutual toward, Denver, her sister. Beloved is jealous of the relationship Denver and Sethe share.
